So what is mastering? Every major label release is mastered to prepare it for radio play and retail sale. The reason? In the studio you record one song at a time, resulting in songs that all peak at different levels and have different EQs. A mastering engineer can unify your album with skillful use of EQ, gain, and compression to give it a consistent sound from track to track. This process also allows the mastering engineer to pump up the volume of your overall album so it’s as hot as can be and make it sound unbelievable.
All tracks recorded on Dublin Studio Hub are automatically mastered as part of the package cost.

What do we need from you to get sublime mixes?
Client to provide:
• Uncompressed, clearly labelled WAV files. (Sample rates from 48KHz - 96KHz. Bit depth from 24 bit - 32 bit floating point.)
• All audio files should start at bar one and be the same sample rate.
• Audio files should be free of all artefacts or clipping.
• Audio files should be dry. ie. free of any effects. Specific effects tracks integral to the song should be included separately and clearly labelled.
• Comprehensive mix notes regarding effects, production, reference tracks.
• Fully comped audio files. No edits are done during the mix.
• Song tempo map.
• Song key map.
• One set of revisions per song. ie. minor mix tweaks to balances or effects used.
